Soaker Hose Anyone?

Last week John read an article in the Austin American Statesman about the impact this draught has had on the trees in Austin. Fortunately I was heading out to show some houses so that left only one other person to make the trip to Home Depot. Now we have a nice new soaker hose that we will use to help keep our beautiful pecan trees happy.

This week an article about watering the edges of your foundation came out and I was happy to know that we would be getting our money’s worth out of the soaker hose. Maintaining consistent soil moisture around the foundation of a home can prevent or minimize shifting. Watering your slab isn’t sexy but it could save lots of money and that peaks my interest.
